The public vernissage of the exhibition «A Bath of Colours - Renoir and Monet at the Grenouillère » took place on Friday, May 12 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The public vernissage was an invitation to a trip to the summer feeling evoked by the Seine, a feeling that was musically underlined by Jardena Flückiger and Barbara Schneebeli (vocals and accordion). During the performance, the duo gave a glimpse of the forthcoming Impressionist bathing scenes – a fitting preview of the exhibition's two main paintings. After the performance, an aperitif was offered in the museum café, which was enjoyed outside by most of the guests in a sunny and warm atmosphere.
