Authors and artists meet half way: leading writers came face to face with masterworks of European painting and committed their responses to paper in a wonderful array of texts. The Oskar Reinhart Collection ‘Am Römerholz' invited a number of authors to write about a work of their choice from the collection. Having first been read in the place that had inspired them, in the Villa Am Römerholz, their texts were subsequently published together as the multi-faceted tableau contained in these two highly collectible little volumes.

All the texts are published in German, either as originals or translations. The original French and Italian of the translated texts is also included in these volumes.
