Admittance

CHF 15, reduced admission price of CHF 12 (AHV and IV).
Admittance is free for children up to the age of 16 and for persons accompanying the severely handicapped.

Via Museum Transfer

Via Museum Transfer from Winterthur station, Kante G to the Oskar Reinhart Collection “Am Römerholz” and back. Booking at least 30 minutes in advance under: 

By bus

Bus number 10 to Haldengut, then ten minutes’ walk up the hill to Lindberg
Bus number 3 to Kantonsspital, then ten minutes’ walk up the hill to Lindberg

By car

Motorway exit Winterthur-Ohringen-Schaffhauserstrasse-Rychenbergstrasse-Haldenstrasse
Parking spaces are available in Haldenstrasse and Eichwaldstrasse, 50m past the museum entrance.

Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs are allowed throughout the museum area and in the exhibitions.

Café

The café is on the ground floor and also has barrier-free access. Only the café terrace is inaccessible by wheelchair, however tables are also served at ground level in the garden. The garden is accessible by mobile ramp – please contact visitor services, who will be happy to assist you further. The café also offers tabletop extensions for the round tables to make them more convenient for wheelchair users. Please contact the café staff, either when you visit or in advance, if you would like to use them:

Cloakroom/lockers

The cloakroom and lockers are in the basement with barrier-free access and accessible by lift.

Entrance

The entrance to the villa is a cobbled surface at ground level. There is a wheelchair ramp leading up to the museum entrance.
We can open the door for you so you can proceed directly into the building. Please contact our visitor services if you would like us to do that.

Exhibition rooms

All the Oskar Reinhart Collection exhibition rooms have barrier-free access.

First aid

There is a first aid box at the ticket office in the entrance area. If you need first aid, please contact visitor services or the assistants in the exhibition rooms.

Floor type

All exhibition rooms accessible to wheelchair users have a parquet or stone tile floor. Any obstacles between rooms are bevelled and thus easily crossed.

Induction loops

There are ten mobile induction loops for the audio guides and they can be reserved in advance.

Kultur inklusiv

The Oskar Reinhart Collection has acquired the "Kultur inklusiv" label. (label awarded for including people with disabilities in cultural life)

Child carrier

For our smallest visitors, we have a baby carrier to borrow on site. Prams are only admitted with reservations. Children with limited mobility are of course admitted without restriction with all aids.

Lifts

There is a lift with an 80cm door opening to the basement cloakrooms. A wheelchair lift with a 77cm door opening connects the villa to the gallery.

Magnifying glasses

Magnifying glasses are provided free of charge in the exhibition rooms. They are in the rooms with the graphic prints. The assistants can help you locate them.

Seating

There is some seating available in the exhibition rooms. Light and easily portable folding chairs are available free of charge for visitors to carry with them while visiting the exhibition. Please tell the assistants if you would like one. The café is also available for a break and to sit down.

Stools

Visitor services or the assistants can provide light folding stools for you to take to the exhibition.

Toilets

There is a designated wheelchair accessible toilet on the ground floor just by the entrance to the café. The key is available from visitor services or the café staff. 

Tours for people with visual impairment

The tours include detailed descriptions of the works. The group can move close to the paintings and there are sculptures on display, which can be touched. People can take the tours as part of a series or as one standalone tour. They last about one hour each. The tour is free of charge and the reduced admission price is CHF 12.

There is a wheelchair available for loan. Please contact visitor services if you would like to use it. You can also reserve the wheelchair in advance.
